Our great search

Finally, the perfect tree

" The sniff test"

Hailey and Tata

The day after Thanksgiving we went to a place called, Apple Hill in search for the perfect Christmas tree. This is the first year we have gone so early, but we had time so we went. The kids were so excited because we had been to the same place last year. After we arrived the kids examined every tree possible. One was too short or it had a hole in the back. Finally it had been about an hour and a half and Lance informed me he was ready to cut something down. We finally agreeded on a tree. The boys had a great time helping Lance cut the tree down. It was a wonderful memory, much better then when Lance drove us all out to a National Park to find a tree, but that's a story for another day. On the way home we stopped at Mel's Diner. We ate there on the way home last year, so the kids decided it must be a tradition. I cant believe it is already December!

What a fun day! You are a nicer mom than me. Everybody wanted to cut a tree down, but I said no! I told them they have to wait at least an other week! Can't wait to see you guys at Christmas!

Kiely is smart - the sniff test is extremely important. It's the whole reason I get a tree.
