I am now officially a ZUMBA instructor. It is such a fun way to exercise. I have been taking classes for a year now and I cant get enough so I decided to certify and become an instructor. It is perfect for me. Zumba is a dance fitness class with emphasis on the latin culture. It is totally my thing. It is very hard for me to stay still when I hear music but especially latin music. Its in the blood I guess. So wish me luck with my new adventure.

Go Giants

I know the picture is a little dark, but it's all I have. Our family went to watch a Giants game a couple weeks ago. It was the SF Giants against the LA Dodgers, huge rivals. We had so much fun. It was Hailey's first baseball game. She loved dancing to all the misic they played as the batters went up to bat. The boys had a great time loading up on cotton candy and hot dogs. Unfortunately, they lost.
It was still a fabulous evening!

Get in shape, girl !!

How cute is little Hailey? A perfect plank position!

Lego city

The boys are crazy about legos right now. Dustin and Andrew created this Lego city, which was constantly all over their floor. Instead of having them clean it up every night, I decided their creativity should be expressed. I went to Costco and bought a table for them to have a permanent Lego city, they were thrilled. I was happy because it was not everywhere and they were happy because their Lego city was not destroyed.

First Day of School

Kiely 10th grade

Dustin 5th grade

Andrew 2nd grade

Hailey Kindergarten
It is that time of the year again, to send the kids back to school. I have to admit that this was the hardest year. I always think summer is way too short. I love our lazy summers. This year Hailey started school and I am all alone for the morning. I have been waiting for this day for years and now that it is here, it broke my heart. I really enjoy having a little person around. I am glad Hailey is only gone half the day so we can still have our afternoons together. The kids are all doing well and have fabulous teachers!

Hailey's Fairy party

This year Hailey decided she wanted a Tinkerbell party. It was so sweet. I love to have little girl parties. I found the perfect dress a couple months ago at Gymboree. She invited six little friends. We played musical lily pads, then they went to the fairy dust station. I asked Kiely to teach them fairy twirls, which the girls loved. Hailey's two Nana's came for her party and made lunches while I took care of the party. She is already planning her party for next year!

Radiology graduation party

Susan and I

All wet!!

Lance has recently completed his Radiology residency. We are so happy. It has been a long road. 4 years at BYU, 4 years of medical school and 5 years of residency. Lance has been so dedicated to his studies and has sacraficed so much. Through it all he still managed to be an amazing father and a wonderful husband. Lance just recently turned 34 and he reminded me that we now have known each other for 20 years. We attended the end of the year party were they say farewell to the residents. Traditionally they also get thrown into the pool. He was prepared because he handed me his cell phone and wallet before the party started. Lance told me that recently he was speaking to some residents who have just graduated and they said, " now we can start enjoying life". We talked about how sad that statement was. Lance and I stil managed to enjoy life and be a family through the last 13 years.

* On a side note, in case you are wondering why I have the same outfit on in the last 2 posts. It is because we went straight from the birthday party to the graduation party! I do own more than one outfit!

My family
My Tata Max just recently celebrated his 90th birthday. All the family got together for a huge birthday party. I have 6 aunts and uncles on my mother's side so they were all there with all my cousins and their children. It was so much fun. I am so blessed to live near my extended family. When we joined the military I was not sure if I would be near them again but it has worked out well. While we were there I took the oppurtunity to take some family pictures. It is so great to be a part of such a loving familia.

Girls day out

A couple weeks ago a bunch of ladies got together to say good bye to a great friend, Katrina. Her husband is an Air Force dentist and they will be moving to England. It was such a great day. All day long we jumped off the houseboat, went on the boat, ate, and do what girls do best, CHAT.

Dustin's 10th Birthday

Dustin turned 10 in the end of May. He wanted a lazer tag party, so he invited his best buddies and off we went. My parent's, in-laws and youngest brother were able to come up also. There were two teams Lance, Alejandro, Kiely against all the kids. I am not sure which team had more fun. Althought when Lance and my brother came out from the lazer tag room, they were dripping sweat. It was so funny. Hailey made Dustin a special party hat for his birthday that he wore so kindly. After this party I became a fan of small parties. Ever since Dustin turned 10, he says he is a pre-teen!

Flashback

Hailey age 4

Kiely age 4
This was one of Kiely's favorite dreses when she was little. She wanted to wear it all the time. My aunt brought it back for her from Hawaii. I found it last week in the back of Hailey's closet. Once I told her it was her sister's dress she wanted to wear it. I dont think it will be her favorite but she thought it was fun to try on.

Innocent until proven guilty

Damaged lemons

The lemon tree

"Culprit"
Our dog Mandy, is the best dog ever. Every once in a while she can get into a little trouble. Mandy knows she is not supposed to rip the lemons from our tree, but sometimes she can not resist. I cant say I blame her because she loves to play with balls. Lemons do resemble balls. Oh well, I still love her!

Hailey and Rocky

My mother in law has recently inherited a little dog named, Rocky. He belongs to her mother who is no longer able to care for him, so she took him in. He is a very sweet dog and good with the kids. Hailey has become quite attached to Rocky and is so excited when he comes over. She loves to take him for walks and play fetch with him. (Mim, dont worry Rocky is being loved!)

I bought Costco pizza and fed them lunch. Lance has coached baseball and soccer for five years. The boys love Coach Lance!!!

Little Miss Hailey

Hailey has had a couple of exciting past few days. On Friday she had her ears pierced. She has been asking for a while but was a little hesitant. We were at the mall and she said she was ready to do it. So we picked up Kiely from the dentist and went to Claire's. Hailey was so excited to pick her earrings. She picked tiny pink flowers. Hailey cried a little but recovered quickly after she looked in the mirror. Another exciting event was, that today I registered her for kindergarten. This was more exciting for her then me. I filled out all her paper work and the secretary said, are you ready for this, your last one in school? I thought how many years I have been waiting for this and all of the sudden I was so sad. Im not ready to have all my kids gone at school. Ready or not, here it comes! Im so grateful for the oppurtunity I have had to stay home and raise my children!

Snow Day

A couple weeks ago we let the kids miss school and Lance had the day off. We decided to not waste it and took the kids up to the snow for the day. They had a great time. The boys tried snowboarding and Hailey tried to ski. Kiely said she did not want to risk injury because of her upcoming auditions (always a ballerina first). She still enjoyed playing in the snow and throwing snowballs at her father. We are so lucky to live so close to the snow but not have to live in it!

Who are these people?????

I tried to find a flattering picture but was not successful. Lance took the boys for their first hunting outing the other day. I was not very excited. Being a mom I was concerned about safety and my dog. I warned Lance that Mandy better come home in one piece. The boys were so excited because they had just passed their hunter safety course. Lance and the boys read the material for weeks and then took the test. Lance had also been working with Mandy in our back field with a fake duck. She was a natural. I cooked the pheasant the following Sunday. Im glad we did not invite anyone over to taste it. It was not very tasty, it tasted like tuna. I guess you have to be a boy to get excited about hunting. The boys had a great time hunting and the girls had a fabulous day of shopping!!!

The Back Field

Princess Hailey

The boys and Mandy

Back field

Andrew, Dustin and Patrick
(trying to look tough)
The boys love to play in the field behind our house. They get dressed in their army attire, paint their faces and off they go. Our dog Mandy always joins in the fun. Hailey also tries to, but she prefers to wear princess dresses. I had to invest in some rainboots because of all the rain. We are so lucky to have a place where boys can be boys!
